Jicho is in private beta, by invitation. These terms are written in plain words; a lawyer has not reviewed them yet. By using the service you accept them.
What Jicho is
Jicho keeps a private, dated, sealed photographic record of your watch, built from guided capture sessions repeated over time.
Jicho is not a marketplace. Nothing is bought or sold here.
Jicho does not certify that a watch is genuine and does not detect counterfeits. A Record documents a watch's photographic history; the method for identifying an individual watch from its photos is in development.
Your content
Your photos remain yours. By uploading them you give Jicho the permission it needs to store them, produce working copies (thumbnails, previews), seal them into your Record, and use them to develop the identification method described above.
Records are append-only: once a session is completed it cannot be edited or rewritten, by you or by us. Existing sessions cannot be modified once completed; new sessions extend the Record. This is what makes a Record worth something.
Jicho may ask you to follow a guided capture protocol so that captures remain comparable over time.
You agree to photograph only watches you own or are authorised to document, and to give accurate information about them.
Your account
The beta is free. You are responsible for keeping your sign-in details to yourself. We may suspend accounts that abuse the service or upload content that has nothing to do with its purpose.
You can delete your account at any time by writing to contact@jicho.watch.
The service
We work to keep Jicho available and your data safe, as described in the privacy policy. During the beta the service is provided as it is, without a guarantee of uninterrupted availability, and features may change.
Jicho's responsibility is limited to the service itself; a Record is a documented history, not an insurance product or a valuation.

These terms are governed by French law.
